Street names to be put on the curb stones
A request was received that the damaged street name boards be replaced with the names written on the curb stones. It was accepted by the Ward Committee.
The chairperson reported feedback from Mr. Tiaan Marx:
1. The problem with curb stones is that children move or carry the curb stones around,
2. Grass grows over the curb stones, and
3. Street names cannot be seen on curb stones at night.
Mr. Wyngaard indicated that street names will have to be painted in future and said that he will make use of EPWP workers who can paint. Cllr. Lombard then noted that residents will paint the names themselves and Mr. Wyngaard graciously agreed to procure the paint for this project.
Recommended
That Mr. Wyngaard procure paint for the street names for Sandbaai and that Cllr. Lombard will co-ordinate with residents to do the work.

Maintenance of Streets, lights, flooding, anything else
The Ward Committee members were urged to report all matters to Cllr. Lombard and Ms. Julia Van Zyl.

The meeting discussed the matter of streets not being cleaned/cleared.
Recommended
That Mr. Wyngaard personally do an inspection regarding the level and acceptability of the maintenance of Sandbaai: streets, lights, flooding, etc., where after he will call a meeting with all role-players.
