Die sakeplan moet deur die Mun goedgekeur word en word ingesluit in die jaarlikse begroting.
‘n SRA kan na 5 jaar ontbind word, wat baie onwaarskynlik is / sal wees.

Mr. D Chambers advised that the quality and efficacy of the CCTV cameras must be researched first to ensure that cameras with thermal imaging qualities are bought and are compatible with the backbone of the existing system of Overstrand.

CCTV
Mr. D Chambers is representing the Ward 7 Committee at the meetings held to discuss the CCTV cameras. The feedback given is that the cameras have been purchased and are in safekeeping. The cameras will be installed as soon as funding has been obtained to purchase the switchboxes.
SRA
Mr. D Chambers informed the meeting that the SRA process is well underway. They will soon be meeting with the CFO. He will give more detailed feedback after the meeting with the CFO.
From the SRA side they are also driving the CCTV cameras and have decided that they will be purchasing bullet cameras which they have already budgeted for.
They consulted with people in other areas who already have SRA’s established and have CCTV camera projects, and therefore could determine what works and what doesn’t.

| Mr. Chambers reported that he will follow up on the matter and that he has scheduled a meeting with the CFO relating to the Sandbaai Special Rating Area on 4 April 2023. Recommended That Mr. Chambers investigate and then have a meeting with the CFO about the security cameras that have been compromised. |
